How to Get Hired as a Software Engineer in 2024

Sorry, you missed this event!

Event Details

In this free interactive workshop led by Codesmith CEO and Co-Founder, Will Sentance, we'll help you identify software engineering career opportunities and how to successfully position yourself for them. You'll learn how to research employers and showcase how your skills and experience can help build solutions for their business needs.

The session will help you:
  • Identify your career and role priorities - for example, are you most interested in a career as a backend or frontend developer? Within an established corporation or a new start-up?
  • Walk into job interviews with confidence by learning the best practices for researching the business needs of employers.
  • Tailor your communication around the needs of each employer during the job search, with a view to how your skills fit into their company at a micro and macro-level.
Price: Always free!

This is an interactive workshop and a great opportunity to engage with the Codesmith community, so we encourage you to come with your camera on and ready to get involved!

We also host free coding workshops every week to help you master JavaScript and learn the skills needed to land a job as a software engineer.
